Start with the carrier, not the tool. Every attachment loads the machine it hangs off, so the unit sets the limits. Fit a tool the carrier can lift, balance and power, and it works all day. Overshoot, and you lose stability, speed and hydraulic flow. Tell us the unit and the job, and we match the tool to both.
Size a bucket to the material, not just the machine. Capacity is quoted in cubic metres, and denser material means a smaller bucket. Wet soil, sand and gravel run roughly 1,500 to 2,000 kg per cubic metre, so a bucket sized for light mulch will overload the same loader on aggregate. Rock buckets trade capacity for a reinforced edge and shorter teeth. General-purpose buckets move more volume in clean dirt.
Check the coupler and the hydraulics before you commit. Quick couplers let one machine swap between bucket, forks and grapple in minutes, but the tool and coupler must match. Powered tools — grapples, some rippers — need auxiliary hydraulic flow the carrier can supply. We confirm coupler type and flow against your unit so the tool arrives ready to work, not ready to adapt.
Rent the attachment you use for one job; buy the one you use every week. A grapple for a single cleanup or a ripper for one frost season rents cheaply against its purchase price. Forks and a general-purpose bucket you reach for daily usually earn their keep as owned iron. Rental also lets you trial a tool on your material before you spend. Any purchase price we quote is indicative until we confirm the fit.
Forks carry a rated capacity that drops as the load moves out and up. A telehandler or loader lifts less at full reach than tight to the frame, and the load chart on the machine governs — not the fork rating alone. Give us the load weight and the reach you need, and we spec forks and a carriage the unit can handle safely.
Guidance is general — representative figures, verified before final publication. Your firm quote comes from a coordinator.
We match and fit work tools to a machine rather than stock them standalone. Tell us the unit and the job, and we source and fit the right tool. Request a quote to start.
Often, yes — it depends on coupler type, carrier weight and hydraulic flow. Send us the make, model and serial, and we confirm the fit before quoting.
Yes. Renting a grapple, ripper or specialty bucket for a single job is common and keeps cost down. Request a quote with your dates and we confirm availability.
It depends on the machine's rated lift and the material density. Denser material needs a smaller bucket. Give us the unit and material, and we size it — any price is indicative until confirmed.
Yes, across Surrey and the Lower Mainland. We can fit the tool to a rented or owned unit and confirm coupler and hydraulic match before it ships.
Need the machine too? Browse Earth Moving for loaders and excavators, or Material Handling for telehandlers — we fit the attachment on request.
